Ouchie gone wrong

Okay...so before I write about the title of the post...I just have to let everyone know about Mya's strange fascination: Chuck (a.k.a Charles Barkley). She loves him. I don't really know why because he is the last person in the world I would choose to adore but when he's on tv, she listens. Just look at her body language in the picture below. It's so funny.

So we thought we performed a great surgery with the sterile safety pin and all, but we were wrong. Two days later, Mya's finger was infected. I don't have a picture of the infection because it was bandaged before I thought to take a picture of it, but it was pretty bad. Our Sunday morning consisted of calling the nurse, making an emergency appointment, making french silk pie, hurrying to the doctor's office, going to the lab at the hospital, going to two different pharmacies, giving Mya lots of Tylenol, putting Mya to bed, going to church while she took a nap, coming home from church to a sleeping baby, tidying the house for our dinner guests, waking Mya up to go to our normal ward's last hour, having Mya fall over and bruise her head in the combined meeting, coming home to a warm house, making a delicious fruit salad, eating with wonderful company, walking to do an apartment check-out, walking home, eating pie, putting Mya to bed, going to bed ourselves. It was quite a day. And I have become somewhat of an insomniac these past few days. I have had the worst headaches and can't go to sleep for at least two hours after hitting the pillow. It is horrible.

  1. The pie looks amazing. Please send me the recipe!! Not kidding. Poor Mya! Her little injury really took a lot out of her. I think its amazing that she loves Sir Charles. He is my favorite athlete of all time. He is what he is. He's never claimed to be a role model. But he has attitude and personality for days. I think he's hilarious, and he used to served up some mean ball. If it weren't for K.J. Phoenix would have had a championship! P.S. maybe you should try getting one of those noise machines? Dolphins, frogs, ocean breeze, etc?
