Mya has taken to pulling off her diaper and walking around naked. I would too considering the fact that diapers seem completely uncomfortable and it has been really warm here. However, this poses a tricky situation for us because we never know if we are going to walk into a puddle of pee. We have decided a week ago to ALWAYS keep some type of shorts, pants, underwear, etc. on top of her diaper to discourage her from doing the dirty deed. It has worked thus far. The following pictures are from two days ago when Mya decided to go outside nearly naked and head for the street. The stinker has no fear. We spent about a half hour outside waving to cars and dogs as they passed by. Mya attempted to eat rocks as she always does when she is outside. It is amazing how sneaky kids are. Mya will wait until I turn my back to slip a rock into her mouth. Because her cheeks are rather large, I never know what she is hiding in them. I only notice that she has something in her mouth when she continuously licks her lips.
I love watching her discover things. She picks up the weirdest things and studies them until she feels she knows what they are. I also relish my time watching her talk to nothing. She will just talk to the air for hours. Sometimes...a lot of times...she screams...and I scream too. I must say it is so refreshing to just scream sometimes. Not scream as in yelling at someone but scream like you are on a roller coaster. Mya has a habit of doing it all through out the day. I will do it when we are outside and no one is around. I feel like screaming out loud is so helpful. It just lets off steam and stress. How do you relieve stress? I personally will go on a run or write things down. It helps a lot.
On another note, my grandparents were in town and dropped by for a visit. They lost all the pictures they took so I decided to post a few we snapped during the quick visit. It was fun to see you guys.
