peanut wonderings: retro pioneer princess

Last week I put V in one of the dresses from my childhood. I am not sure if my mom or grandma made the dress, but I am pretty sure V rocked the it better than I did twenty years ago. Tim did not approve of the frock calling it a "pioneer dress," but we received lots of compliments on it from women in church. Luckily no one looked too close because the buttons on the back kept popping open exposing V's backside. Oh well, I love that backside and seeing it bare every once in a while just made me smile.

peanut wonderings: did your parents save your baby clothes? do you dress your kids in them from time to time?

  1. I think she looks adorable in her 'pioneer dress'. You should post a picture of you when you were a baby in it. It would be cute to see your picture next to V's.

Tell your husband it's a 'vintage dress'. Cute!

  2. haha, I remember you telling me that Tim doesn't like the retro clothes on your kids but I LOVE them and I'm glad you put her in your dress, she looks darling! Last Sunday I had Norah in my old dress and she just looked so dainty and cute. Our dresses used to be a lot more mild and dainty... doll like if you will. Now days everything tends to be really bold. Anyway, she looks darling, and I love it!

  4. yes! one had a bonnet & rob called her a little pioneer girl. I love seeing the old stuff & finally I have a girl I can dress in the dresses! I think I have 5 dresses that I wore as a baby or child (I was the oldest...idk if my sisters have any)
