Student Teaching

So I started student teaching on Monday. It has been better than expected. I really like the kids. I am told that my teacher is one of the best disciplinarians. As a student teacher, I really appreciate that. I am teaching ninth graders until April 10th. We will be reading and studying Romeo and Juliet together. I am really excited about teaching R & J because I never read in high school or college. Of course I know the story because I have seen the movies, but it is fun to study. I forget how wonderful Shakespeare really is. I will be teaching mini lessons to the seventh graders, but my teacher isn't requiring that I teach all the classes. How wonderful!!

Sorry for not posting more pictures. Tim and I have been so busy with the crazy snow storm that hit Utah. It finally stopped this morning which is nice because our backs will get a rest. I feel achy in places I didn't know I could ache. We are taking pictures of Mya but haven't had a chance to post them. I will as soon as I can. I hope you all are enjoying the new year!

  2. Do the teachers mistake you for a student...I think you could totally blend in! Ha ha. I also laughed when I read about you never reading R&J, but you watched the movies so you can teach it...awesome. I wonder how many of your students will do the same... :)?! Let us know if you need a date night...we heart the babies!!
