We spent Christmas at home this year and although we missed the chaos of holiday travel (NOT!), we had a great time. It was so relaxing to be home together. We just took it easy all day because we had been so exhausted from work and school. Our Christmas morning started around 1am when Mya decided to scream like crazy in her crib. I went to get her only to realize she was burning up. And when I say burning up, I mean her skin was burning our skin in bed. We pulled off her socks, lifted up her shirt and doped her with Tylenol. Two hours later, she was back to normal and we hadn't really slept a minute. Tim said that she didn't go to bed until five, or at least that was the last time she screamed. Tim and I were so tired that we really didn't know what time it was or what was going on by that point. Tim and Mya slept in until 9am. I woke up around 7:45 to start the coffee cake and take the ham out of the fridge. My kitchen looked like something blew up because of the previous night of baking so I decided to let Tim and Mya sleep as I cleaned. They finally came downstairs and we started opening presents. Santa was good to us this year. We tried to make this year a year of needs and few wants. We had fun watching Mya discover what was in each box. We ate a delicious ham and egg breakfast after unwrapping the gifts. The food was delightful. Tim kept saying, "Honey, you've out done yourself." I didn't really. Honey-Baked Ham did all the hard work. But it really was great. We have enjoyed our leftover ham immensely.
We basically stayed in our pajamas the rest of the day until we showered around 7. We watched a movie at home thanks to the many iTunes gift cards Tim received and went to bed happy and chubby.

What did you look like Christmas morning? Just notice Mya and Tim's hair in the next three pics. Classic.

The meal that is too good for words

And finally...a good nap to finish everything off.
This looks like such a blessed Christmas! Baby Mya's hair looks so much fun wild. And p.s.: I noticed the amazing french manicure acrylics!! Well done Mrs. Doot. Well done. And the coffee cake looked scrump-did-illy-umptious!
