Love

My best friend Liza got married last Saturday. The ceremony was beautiful. Just perfect for Liza. I don't really know how to explain that to anyone who doesn't know Liz. But trust me. She looked beautiful and happy. The happiest I have ever seen her. She even hugged and kissed Tyler in public. I have NEVER seen Liza kiss anyone in public. I don't think I have actually ever seen her kiss anyone. So this was a huge sign that she must really love him. I don't know Tyler well, but he seems like a perfect match for her.

Seeing them made me think about Tim and me and our wedding day. I have often thought it interesting that on one of the biggest days of someone's life (like their wedding day), the rest of the world still continues doing what it normally does. I guess I just thought the world just paused on my wedding day. That's how it seemed at least. It was by far the best day of my life. Nothing compares to it. Not even having Mya even though that was just amazing in a different way. Tim and I have been married nearly two and half years now and I honestly can't remember life without him. He has become in every way the man of my dreams. So here's to weddings. Here's to Liza and Tyler. And here's to us...and two and a half years of pure bliss. (Okay maybe not pure. But pretty dang close.)

Our friends Tiff and Matt invited us to go bowling on Monday. It was so fun. I forgot how much I enjoy wearing bowling shoes, walking up to the lane with a much too heavy bowling ball, and throwing my back out with each throw. I always make a spectacle of myself. Oh well. I bowled the best I have ever bowled. And it may or may not have to do with the bumpers we put up for the kids. Tiff's little boy, Ty, loved throwing the ball and having it hit the pins. Such a boy. Mya screamed every time the ball hit the pins. So emotional. Such a girl.

I let Mya feed herself with a spoon for the first time yesterday. I tried it with yogurt. Probably not the best food choice to try but man did she love it. Look at her face. The first picture is blurry because we caught her in the action, but it is my favorite. I had to post it. I love my little chipped tooth girl. So cute.
