My little piggy

Mya turned 15 months this month. Boy...is she beginning to act like a little girl. I seriously can't get enough of her unless it is 2 a.m. and she is screaming. When that happens...3 minutes is too much time with her. Help. She is doing better though with teething. We are getting a little more shut-eye and are grateful for it. We went to the doctor's yesterday for her well check-up, and she is one healthy girl.

Here are some of her stats for 15 months: She weighed 20.8 pounds and is 32 inches. She is tall and skinny (my dream for her...we will see how long it lasts). She has 10 teeth with 2 more breaking through. I believe her eyes have finally settled on a color. The color is unknown though. It is goldish, greenish brown. I can't really explain it. She loves feeding herself. Her favorite foods include whole milk, yogurt, cheese, eggs, anything we are eating, pears, CEREAL, chicken nuggets, french fries, bananas, and ice cream. Least favorite foods: veggies unless they are hidden in our food. She doesn't really like the fruit snacks we just bought. Oh well. Her favorite activities are dancing, tearing apart the house, carrying purses, organizing things, breaking cereal boxes open, pushing the alarm button on the car keys, drinking from the drinking fountain at church, climbing on EVERYTHING...mostly our kitchen table, cuddling with daddy, sleeping. Mya still takes 2 or 3 two hour naps every day. We are so grateful for that. Her happiness depends on sleep. So that means...our happiness also depends on her sleep. She still loves her two over-sized stuffed animal bears. She fake laughs. She also laughs really hard when she wants to. She knows how to say the following words: what's that?, bear, do for dog, ba for ball, hi, bye, mama, dada, boo for boots, nite-nite. She will say arf, arf when she sees a dog barking. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. I like her more and more as each day goes by. I feel lucky to have her.

My brother always laughs when he sees pictures of Mya because he says she has a perpetual sad face. It is true. She is like me. She doesn't smile all that often. She especially doesn't smile when the camera is out. However, I got some cute pictures of her tonight in her pink piggy pajamas. Which face is your favorite of hers? I will tell you mine in the comments.

Face 1: Oh so serious (she has cereal in her cheeks)
Face 2: The excited scream
Face 3: The "I WANT THAT" scream (the most common of all screams)
Face 4: The toothy smile/giggle
Face 5: The peek-a-boo teeth smile (barely there)
Face 6: The "Ha,ha mom...no more pics" face
And I just thought I would throw in this picture because it really shows how much Mya loves feeding herself. We love chicken nuggets.

  1. Nory is serious a lot of time too but she does have some great smiles just after she wakes up from a nap. I love pics 1 and 4. I love the big smiles.
