a new day

So I ate my ice cream and went to bed after that horrible day, and luckily, I woke up the next day to the sun shining warmth on my face. I went to the gym and went to the Core Training Class. Pretty sure I am still regretting that decision. I feel like my abs and what ever is underneath my abs are completely bruised. Although visible black and blue bruises are not seen, I know they are there. No matter, the class was the perfect start to Friday. Mostly because I had no idea the pain I would be in later. After class, Mya and I retreated home and both rested for awhile. She slept. I read Speak and took a 45 minute nap. We had a fun afternoon with daddy before he went to school again. When he left, we packed up and headed to the duck pond to meet Tiff and Tyler. Sadly, I didn't catch many pictures of the event. Probably because Mya dislikes the camera so much that she refuses to even bat an eye in my direction if it is in my hand. Stinker. I will have to steal some of Tiff's pictures once she posts them.

After the duck pond, Mya and I watched Tim play basketball. They won. Thank goodness. The other team was really rough with them. They didn't deserve to win if you ask me. And I know basketball. We then went to Tiff's house for pizza and a Jazz game. The kiddos played together and allowed us to talk for awhile. I can't even tell you how grateful I am that Tim and I found Tiff & Matt and Paul & Misti. They are so fun to be around. They definitely made me feel better from the previous day.

So my new day came. As it always does. Sometimes I feel people are too fake on their blogs, and they don't really express themselves if they have a bad day. Sometimes I am afraid to post that I have a bad day, but then I remember that I am human. My life is not 100% perfect. There are flaws. There are ups and downs and all arounds. So while I try to remain upbeat and happy in most of my posts, I felt the need to vent just a little. I hope you enjoy the pictures we took this week. I am particularly proud of the basketball pictures. I took them in manual setting and had so much frustrating fun trying to capture the moment. I think I did take a few good ones. The pictures are mostly of Tim and Jeff. Jackie, feel free to steal a few for your blog. The other pictures are of Mya. I know people are dying to see if more hair grew last week. It didn't. Sorry. But here are some of my favorites of the week.

I am probably just a proud wife, but boy, I love the way Tim gets under the basket. People just can't stop him. I am not really sure if it's him or his bum they can't stop, but hey...we like points.
Again...
And while Jeff does not have the legs of Tim, he has the longest jumping legs.
Jeff...watching and waiting for his turn to go back in to the game. This stance is so typical of basketball players that I just had to capture it.
And again.
I love Mya's sneaky little face here. It's like..."Ha mom, I will eat what I want to eat. Take that."
I just can't resist this one. Oooh...that face. I could eat it. This is a typical Mya face. And notice...she is holding her trusty bear.
This is the only good one I got at the duck pond. And I love it. Hmm...food anyone?
