some women

After careful consideration, it is my opinion that some women never truly graduate from high school. And even though their body may age with time, their immature tactics remain unchanged. You remember the type--the ones that are gifted with an enormous amount of beauty and meanness in the same package. I remember them all too well. I am currently being reminded of them every week. They make friends by preying on the weak and innocent. Sounds dramatic, but it's true. Well, some of those women never change.

These women live everywhere and they hide under any number of wrinkles. Whenever I meet them, I take a mental note to maintain my distance and move on to other women I can relate to. I feel bad for them really. It must be terribly exhausting to fume over everything and scowl at everyone. I bet they take lots of naps. I also feel bad for them because I wonder how many close friends they really have. I doubt they have many. Good friends make all the difference in this life.

Lucky for me, I am surrounded by two stunning women who have the some of the kindest hearts I know. My daughters will never be those sour-faced girls. I will not let them. And while they may throw tantrums here and there right now, I know it is just their age. I will teach them that kindness goes a long way.

  1. Love your blog, but this post got me thinking, "Who on earth did she run into today?" Sorry about the mean-girls.
