Just what I needed: Eliesa

Have you met Eliesa? If you haven't, you should. I love her blog: Good Day, Sunshine. Just the title alone attracts me. I love her Friday confessionals because I identify with her in so many ways. I hope you will stop by her blog soon.

Do you still have his first love note? What did it say?

The husband-guy and I didn't have plans to become a couple when we started dating because the timing was anything by perfect. Our first date was on August 14, 2010 and I was leaving for a 3-month study abroad on September 3. We started dating anyway and decided to enjoy what was left of the summer. Though there may have been a note from Brad before I left for Italy I will never forget THE note:

I had been in Italy for 3 weeks. My first was spent in Rome and then I moved in with my host in Siena. One night I was just overcome with homesickness and I lost it. I hadn't been able to talk to my family since I had arrived in Siena, I was struggling with the language, and my host had fed us anchovies twice that week. I was a mess.

My roommate suggested we take a walk into the city and maybe visit our professor and his family. A good idea. So we wandered into town and promptly got lost. We didn't even have the address of our professor so we walked aimlessly, HOPING some fountain, or sign, or store would trigger our memory. I was close to losing it again. I had put on my fleece jacket before leaving and as I slipped my hands into the pockets I heard a crunch.

I pulled out a folded piece of lined paper and discovered the sweetest note from Bradley.

It was exactly what I needed at that exact moment. Not gonna lie, he made a PRETTY good impression that night for not even being there :)
