I am grateful to Tim because I think he makes me a better mom. I watch him play with Mya and think..."Oh, she just loves him." She really does love her dad. Tim silently teaches me patience and understanding. I hope I can be like him some day.
Being a mom
So I just wanted to make a quick note about how much I love being a mom. I am the first to admit that I don't feel very qualified and most times I don't feel very good at it, but I am trying. I am lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful little girl who smiles when she sees me and laughs when I smile back. She is so good to me. She makes me look at life differently. It's just amazing that one little person can bring so much joy into my life. I miss her when I teach but know that I get to be with her all afternoon. We have fun as we take walks or play at home together. I am trying to live in the moment and not focus on getting the next thing done. I loved that conference talk...who gave it? I can't remember. It might've been President Thomas S. Monson. I just think too many people worry about the next thing that they miss the happiness of the moment. I don't want to miss the precious moments. They go too quick. Mya is already five months old. I can't believe it.
I am grateful to Tim because I think he makes me a better mom. I watch him play with Mya and think..."Oh, she just loves him." She really does love her dad. Tim silently teaches me patience and understanding. I hope I can be like him some day.
