Miami: Ft. Lauderdale

On our last full day in Miami, we had a great time at Ft. Lauderdale's beachfront. It was a lot windier than any of the other days and Mya was not sure how she felt with the wind mixed with sand and waves. I can tell you that she definitely did not like the waves. She likes calm water. The waves scared her a little bit. The day was filled with enormous pizza slices, saggy diapers falling off, strangers laughing, a ghetto swap shop, too sweet frozen custard (hey, it's vacation...we can eat what we want) and a late night dip in the pool with friendly families from Queens, New York. It was quite a day. Mya was pooped out when we finally arrived back in our hotel room to put her to bed and watch the Rockets beat the Lakers. This may be the only time in our lives that we root for the Rockets.

This saggy diaper fell off as we were packing up and we were forced to carry Mya diaperless across Ocean Dr. while strangers at the pizza place and in their cars chuckled at the little wrinkled, sandy bum. So cute.

Mya had so much fun playing with her daddy at the beach. Look at my strong husband.

Back at home and Mya wonders..."Guys, why did we have to come back?" We aren't sure how much we really want to be home, but we will live.
