We sadly returned home knowing work awaited us. The week passed quickly and we were able to spend more time watching football and inventing food this weekend. I can't believe all you can save eating indoors.
I added some of my favorite pictures of Mya. She is getting so big. She is almost a year old. Just three weeks shy of the celebration. She is climbing on everything. She makes a mess anywhere she can. But she has the sweetest smile in the world. I can't help but love her.
What have you been up to lately? What are some of your favorite cheap activities? Please tell me. Maybe we can do them too.

How fun are these outings?! I love Mya's 'ooops ya caught me' look! I'm pleased that you and yours had such a blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to think of anything that we do anymore...seems like all we do now is nurse, sleep, and change diapers. I love the idea of camping in the backyard. We have hoards of camping gear that never gets used. Here's to the next holiday so you can have another day off!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for posting the thoughts and the incredible pics! We love to just go on walks...very relaxing, and some of the best together time we have.
ReplyDeletewe like to go biking on the provo river trail (very convienent for us), driving up Provo canyon when the leaves change, dollar movies, hiking rock canyon, and we love football on TV too.
ReplyDeleteI love that pic of Mya hanging on the movie shelf. ha! I also love the barn pic because it brings back great memories of when I worked in Park City.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant guys! Fred and I talked last weekend about setting our tent up in our living room (since we have no yard)but we never got around to it. I'm glad you guys had so much fun. The pictures are great!
ReplyDeleteSome of my favorite cheap dates include:
- Going to a bookstore and reading together...usually little kid books we enjoyed growing up, or books of foreign lands and planning a "dream" vacation, or perusing through history books with lots of pictures and taking note of the styles of clothing, cars, buildings, or anything really.
- Fred loves to feed the ducks which is lots of fun, especially with young kids around.
- Doing service projects together is usually fun and cheap too, like serving in a soup kitchen or cleaning up a park and then just playing around afterwords.
Hey Janine,
ReplyDeleteAdding the link would be fine with me. I can't wait to post your essay!
