Puerto Vallarta-final port day
Puerto Vallarta, or P.V. as I shall refer to it for this post, was so different than Cabo. (I preferred Cabo because the beach was right at your finger tips. You had to travel 30-40 minutes by taxi to reach any good beaches in P.V.) But I did like the city. We ended up unintentionally stealing a free ride close to the beach from a man trying to rope us into purchasing a timeshare. We bolted for the door once the host told us the presentation would last nearly two hours. Hey, we only had one day in the city and we didn't want to spend it indoors.
We hopped into a different taxi and found our way to the city of Bucerias. The was unseasonably windy when we landed on the beach, but we ran into an American family that loaned us some boogie boards for the water and we made the best of it. Although it was breezy, the water was really warm and shallow. We were able to walk so far out into the ocean. It was a surreal experience. I would recommend this small city to anyone visiting P.V. because it really was a fun place.
Both boys felt sick just before sundown so we decided to forgo any further travel plans and head back to the boat. They must've eaten something bad at the second restaurant we found in Cabo because I think they lost all the weight they may have gained on the cruise until that point.
