Mya's Bling

Mya had quite the day. She got to play with the worm Grandpa and Grandma Gallagher got her for Christmas (which she loves!). Then she wore a new outfit provided by Ana in our ward and OshKosh. Then she went out on the town with mom and dad and got her ears pierced. I know what you are thinking...why? She is so young. We know but after weighing all the options, we decided to do it. And we think it makes her look more beautiful. Plus, it gives Tim something else to have fun with. He loves to buy accessories for his girls. She did really well. She screamed because of the initial shock but stopped soon after. The pictures of the event are below. I didn't take pictures of her screaming because I thought it was too sad. I saw people walking through the mall shaking their heads at us as they walked passed the store. Oh well. She lived.
We also made a video of her new sound. She found her vocal cords and it makes us laugh.

As for Tim and me, we are doing well. We are still loving being parents. Everyday is a new day. Tim is busy with school and work and I am busy teaching the kids at Lakeridge. Some girl told me I was a horrible teacher because I was reviewing something she felt was unneccessary. I just told her that sometimes life asks us to do hard things and we just have to deal with it. She didn't know what to say so she didn't say anything. I am learning that my sarcasm goes over these kids heads so I have to be very blunt to help them understand what I am saying. We started Romeo and Juliet this week, and I got a positive response from about 80% of the students. Some boy wanted to burn the book. From the looks of him, it didn't really surprise me. I am sure he burns other things. Another kid fell asleep and began drooling on his desk...if that was me in 9th grade...I would've buried my head in my bag for the rest of the day, but he just thought he was too cool for school. So whatever. I guess I am a little behind the times. The fashion the kids wear is amazing. And when I say amazing...I mean amazingly weird. Sweats are the hot new item. They wear them with nice boots or nice "churchlike" shoes. They then wear peace signs anywhere they can. I have seen them on shoelaces, necklaces, belt buckles, earings, etc. At least they believe in peace. Anyways, life is good. It keeps us laughing and we feel blessed.

Have a great week!

Umm, does this outfit make me look fat?
What are you doing to me?
Seriously...I think this is a bad idea.
Before the ears piercing.
After it was all over. No Mya...it was a great idea.
Bling bling
I am so cute.
Yeah! Get ready for my new sounds.
