GNO

After a really bad experience with my previous "girls' night out" group, I vowed I would never be a part of one again. Well, several months have passed since I moved here and being called to work with the children at church has made it almost impossible for me to make more girl friends. I do have two or three friends that I know I can call, but I wanted to meet more people so I decided to throw a girls' night. Rather than make it a small group like I was used to, I sent an email to all the women at church and invited them to my house for soup and breadbowls. 16 women showed up. We ate. We laughed. We played a game. And we made new friendships. It worked. Hopefully we can have more of these fun nights in the future.

I made homemade breadbowls, croutons and three different kinds of soup: creamy tomato basil, broccoli and cheese and California chowder. Tim helped me create and cook the soups. He was also my taste tester so every soup was perfect.

  1. I'm proud of you! That was a lot of hard work in cooking, and putting yourself out there to invite everyone. Good job. I don't know if I would have done that. You're the best.
