Utter exhaustion

Time. I just needed a few minutes alone. There is a continuous thumping beating at my forehead and temples. I am sitting in our hot rental ride, an impala with fake wood paneling, listening to the rhythmic snores of v. This trip is going to destroy the nap schedules I've worked so hard to make habitual. Bummer. We didn't arrive in salt lake until 1:30am. The car rental place was already closed so we were forced to stay in a hotel near the airport. Let's just say that I wish I had slept in a body suit covered in antibacterial gel. I hope we didn't get any diseases sleeping in those hard beds. It has been a day. I did get to see two people I love and miss more than I realized, but I am totally pooped. Our little peanuts have been exceptional in spite of the delays, no naps and eating out more than we ever do. I am grateful for the friendly people in the airport who helped us carry our bags down several flights of stairs, located our missing child, and entertained our kids while we sat with our heads in our hands. Mya played with a little boy from Sweden or Switzerland for over an hour while we patiently awaited our delayed 9:00 flight. He didn't speak but a few words of English, but she didn't notice. They just crawled under the chairs and giggled. So cute. Language cannot limit imagination.

  1. I just loved that every time Mya would talk to him he would throw his hands out to his side and scream, "WHAAAT?!?!". It was funny to watch.
