not a tear shed

I just dropped my little Mya off at her first day of real preschool. (Last year she just went to a free joy school with friends.) We bought her a brand new backpack for the occasion which I had to hide until today because I knew she'd destroy it before school started. I didn't really know what to put in the backpack since she doesn't have homework so I just stuck a note (which she won't be able to read) and some snacks in there for after the day is done.

I must admit that both of us have been counting down the days until preschool started. She has been begging me for friends and although I have attempted to have a few play-dates--nothing has really stuck with her. She hasn't made any real friends yet. It's been killing both of us. So neither of us had a hard time saying goodbye. She ran ahead of me before I could even hug her one last time, but I didn't mind. I know she'll hug me in a few hours. I think V took the whole separation from sissy the hardest. They may drive each other nuts, but man...V loves Mya. Love with a capital L.

  3. Kylie started preschool a couple of weeks ago and Emmy has had a really hard time too. Every time we drop Kylie off, Emmy almost starts crying and says, "Ky, Ky, Ky." It's so sad because they are absolutely best friends too. Your girls are adorable and growing up so much!
