she talks too.

We made a short video of Mya talking when she was just about V's age. V is currently 19 months and Mya was 20 months in the video. If you'd like to see Mya (and you should because she's adorable in the video), please see this link.

I have been making V talk for so long now because I had no idea how I would handle two children who couldn't tell me what they wanted/needed. I forced her to talk, but I didn't force her to walk so we are still working on getting her to walk alone. Don't get me or my back started on this one. Back on topic...I took two separate videos of her talking. Let's just say it is much harder to get her to talk in front of a camera and a big sister that has a lot of attitude.

  1. Ha, I SO agree with you on the importance of your child being able to tell you what s/he wants/needs! When we figured out Dot could understand and repeat some sign language, I did my best to show her all the ones I thought would be important, and I'm so thankful! She wasn't the first to walk out of the kids her age, but she's still one of the only ones that can communicate to ANY adult what she wants! I'm with you - I'd much rather a talker than a walker! x

  3. Oh my goodness, Mya reminds me so much of Liv! She was cracking me up with her "that's not making good choices" speech! Those are some seriously cute girls! Good job V!
