...and the not so winter blues

no matter what i am feeling on the inside, i try not to let that permeate all the other parts of my day. i keep my feelings and struggles locked inside until tim comes home, rubs my neck and listens to my woes. i do not want my kids to see me cry. whenever mya finds me crying, she immediately cries and asks if we should see a doctor. i sarcastically reply that i probably should and then jokingly laugh it off and we redirect our tears into happier thoughts.

so while i deal with my winter blues, my kids are experiencing a case of the not-so-winter-blues. they are loving the cold, blustery days and all the white powder that accompanies them. we have been outside for hours running, jumping, throwing snowballs, building makeshift snowmen and shoveling the walks. they are loving this stuff. here are a few pictures to prove it.
