a new city is added to my list of places I could live

I could live in Seattle. I could! I say that to people in Texas, and they just scoff at me and remind me of the "terrible" weather, and I shake my head and remind them that Texas weather isn't all it's cracked up to be. April might've been my favorite month with regards to Texas weather, and it rained for 80% of it, so take that as you will.

I met my dear friend Ashley in Seattle, and we had a great time walking (we did lots of walking!!) and eating. She came to the city with a handful of things she wanted to see, eat and do, and I knew I'd love the city so long as I had time to wander. And wander we did. I would recommend Seattle to anyone. I'm really hoping to take Tim there someday because the downtown area really had a romantic vibe, and you know--Tim and I are romantics. ;)

Daily Dozen Donuts (buttermilk donuts for the win!!)

Tat's Delicatessen (One of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten.)

Serious Pie (It was all about the crust for me.)

Dahlia Lounge (Just spend the money and get the donut holes. Do it.)

What we saw:

Pike Place Market (I would live at that market if I could.)

The Space Needle (We didn't go up, but we accidentally walked past it several times.)

Bainbridge Island (I would stay on this island with Tim and sleep in to the sounds of waves crashing.)

EMP Musuem (Other than the Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix exhibits, I was a bit disappointed.)

Theo's Chocolate Tour (Do this!! You get so much chocolate, and the tour is really fun.)

Seattle's Underground City Tour (This had the potential to be very funny. We, however, did not have the best guide and so it was a minor let down.)

The best thing I learned about Seattle in my short visit is that the people there are so kind and helpful. I couldn't believe it. I don't know what I expected, but seeing as it is a city full of technology and coffee shops, I just didn't think people would even give me a second glance let alone help me walk to the Lightrail station with Felicity and my bags, even if it was out of the way or offer up a table or seat whenever one wasn't available for me. The people left a huge impression on me, and I think that is the number one reason I could live there someday.
