Love fiercely
I was playing around with the older girls in the kitchen the other day while Elle was messing around with the camera. She caught this picture when I grabbed and snuggled Genevieve. It's perfect.
I love my kids so fiercely that it's hard to describe. I think my favorite moments with them are when I'm chasing them around the house, attempting to tickle them and kiss their faces. I could do it for hours. I'm much better at physical play than I am at imaginative play. I don't know how to play with dolls or barbies to save my life, and I'm 4 girls in at this point, so I am just calling that a wash and sticking with what I am good at.
Parenting is nutty. You give and you give and you give, and yet at the end of the day, there's always just a little more to give. I can always give one more hug or read one more book (unless I've read a billion). I can always give another piece of advice or lend a listening ear. And I can always be present for the kids.
I'm worn out day in and day out, and I know Tim is too, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

"Be kind and considerate with your criticism... It's just as hard to write a bad book as it is to write a good book." Malcolm Cowley
