peanut wonderings: clarity?

With the weather warming up, I am getting back in the habit of taking my early morning walks/jogs. There is just something about feeling the crisp air on my sleepy skin and watching the sun peak its bright head over the rooftops that gives me clarity. I walk/jog alone so I take the sacred thirty minutes to think about things weighing heavily on my mind. It is amazing the amount of peace I receive as I ponder each thought while admiring the stirring nature.

Unlike Provo, there are not a lot of walkers here. I find myself utterly alone every morning passing only empty cars and dimly lit houses. Kids are hardly awake for school before I reach my street corner. The stillness of the morning moves and motivates me. I feel alive and ready for the day when I walk through my front door. My mind is clear and my focus is sure as I start our daily routine.

Where do you find clarity? I will admit that the other time I find clarity is when I am cleaning. I get lost in scrubbing floors, toilets and sinks and thoughts flow freely. It's weird...I know but it's true.

  1. I need sleep to get ANY kind of clarity, however, my little baby boy seems to have missed the memo since he's been up in the middle of the night AND getting back up a the crack of dawn.

That's awesome that you have that time to reflect. I hope today is a better day for you than yesterday. Have a great weekend!

  2. I'm the same as you... nothing is better than an early morning run and getting home before the kids are even awake. It's amazing how much more energy I have for the kids after I spend some energy on myself.

  3. Always on the beach, I feel so peaceful and insignificant (in a good way, like my problems are tiny in the grand scale of the universe).

Today I’ve done a post with tips for buying fresh flowers if you’d like to take a peak.Rx
