A quarantine snow day is literally my worst nightmare. I put the winter stuff away weeks ago and was not ready for it to come spilling out of the closets and drawers again. I managed to ward the kids off of going outside the other day when it snowed, but when I saw the inches of snow piled on my deck table this morning, I knew I'd have to cave today.
It might be my worst nightmare (I seriously hate snow clothes, and I hate all the wet footprints through the house worse), but it is an absolute dream for the kids. They are having a ball outside while I warm the milk for hot cocoa inside. I did join them outside to make the biggest snowman I've ever made but headed back inside since I wasn't properly dressed.
I hope they stay out for an hour or more. I think that's the only thing that makes the time it takes getting dressed worth it. Have fun kids! Have fun.
