Being a diva

Happy Valentine's Day. I never really liked Valentine's Day until I met Tim. Now I just love it. It is one day I spoil Tim a little more than normal. I love spoiling Tim. It is easy to want to do because quite frankly, he spoils me more than I deserve. I don't think a month has passed that he hasn't treated me to a self-arranged bouquet of flowers. Knowing that I love daisies, each bouquet is made of several kinds of daisies. We celebrated Valentine's Day last night after helping some friends move in to their new house. I will leave out most of the details but tell you that there may or may not have been candles, Martinelli's, wine flutes, strawberries and a romantic movie.

We have had a lot of fun spending today with Mya. She was a big POOP at church so Tim had to leave earlier than normal. After her three hour nap (the reason for the poopiness), we decided to glam her up a bit and play around the house. Mya hates all headbands, bows, clips, etc. so the chances of getting those in her hair was pretty slim. However, Tim and I are completely aware that our daughter has a dirty mullet. (Not unlike the one I had in Argentina. Gross) We don't really know what to do with it because cutting it means we lose the curls and leaving it means we hang our heads in shame when people tell us we have a cute little guy. However, today we may have found a solution. The ponytail. She still looks funny since she doesn't have a ton of hair around the sides. I think the most frequent question I get from family is "When do you think her hair will start growing?" Don't know. Perhaps she is plagued to have her mom's crazy thinning spots. Tim hopes not. Oh well. We know Mya is a funny looking girl. But she is so cute that we just look right past it. I just laugh every time she gives me a toothy grin in which I see sticks her face far out in front, scrunches her nose and shows all her teeth (including the chipped tooth). At least we wont have to worry about boys until the teenage years long after her big girl teeth come in and braces come off. I just love her. She is our funny looking diva.

She is a little obsessive about this bear. She must be touching it at all times.
The struggle for the pony tail begins.

  7. Wow, that is amazing how many different looks and poses Mya does. In some of the pics she looks her age and others she looks much older. Cute, cute!
