enchanted

My brother came to visit his little nugget and biscuit last week. Those are the nicknames he affectionately calls them and I find them quite fitting. We had such a good weekend. I felt like we squeezed a lot of stuff into not a lot of days so I know by the end, all our feet were aching. Matt got to experience a few of new things with us: a trip to Chicago, an hour long car ride with V screaming the entire time, Steak 'n Shake, a deep dish pizza and an exhausting weekend with two little nutty kids who can be a handful. Isn't that right Matt? But in the end, I think the visit was a success. We were so glad to have a visitor. Plus, Mya just loved her uncle Matt and keeps asking for him.


 
Chicago
I am in enchanted by Chicago. I have always loved big cities, but I think Chicago is my favorite. It is clean and family friendly. I love the big buildings that line the beach. I love the pier. The pizza. The people. The mile of fabulous shopping. I really don't know of anything I don't love about it. We had a great time and even had the opportunity to be there during Taste of Chicago. While it was super hot, we ate some good food and cooled off after in the famous fountain next to the Bean.
