I think Mya exclaimed "I tink...the fireworks should be done now" probably twenty to thirty times on the 4th of July. She was not a fan of the fireworks. I can't blame her because although I love a glittery sky, I am usually done with fireworks five minutes after they start. The loud booms really give me a headache. I sound like an old geezer saying that, but it's true. We celebrated the fourth by eating amazing home cooked food which included t-bone steaks, homemade chimichurri sauce and nectarine cobbler (let me know if you want the recipe). Delish. I am allowing you to be jealous of us for just a minute. We then headed to Eureka to watch the fireworks in a more "family-friendly" town. I thought it was beautiful because the fireworks exploded over a lake and the reflection was amazing.
