peanut wonderings: when was your first kiss?

how old were you when you had your first kiss? would you take it back if you could?

I was fourteen
I had just ditched my glasses and my frizzy perm
In a sense, I thought I had come into my own
I quickly realized I hadn't

He was seventeen
A boy from the track team with too much enthusiasm
He was handsome
and had a car

I needed a ride
He didn't park in front of my house
I was confused
He kissed me square on my lips before I could find the door handle
It scared me half to death

I wouldn't kiss again until I was seventeen
That first kiss was just so traumatic
I would take it back if I could
And I would've punched him in the face if I had more guts

p.s. my husband hates when i talk about other people i kissed...so maybe don't remind him of this story when you see him because he frowned the entire time he was reading it.

  1. My first kiss was at 15, and I was so desperate to get it good and over with that I just out of the blue kissed one of my guy friends that I kinda-sorta-liked (of course). He then looked at me and didn't say anything for what felt like an eternity. Finally, I said, "Well?" and he told me I wasn't a good kisser. I was DEVASTATED, as you can imagine. A year later I had my second kiss, which I was terrified of since I figured I was a lousy kisser and all, but believe you me, practice makes perfect! Turns out, kisses are only good when both parties want the kiss to happen. ;)

  2. I had my first kiss when I was 16. I was terrified to kiss a boy. I didn't know what I was supposed to do. The kid kept asking me if he could kiss me, which was just plain AKWARD! So I told him to stop asking me and just kiss me. I'm sure at the time, it wasn't that bad, but I have awful memories of it. It was totally akward and I would probably, maybe take it back. What a fun question to ask people :)

  3. I was14 too. He was 14. We both had braces. I had agreed to be his "girlfriend" but didn't have any interest in kissing him so I avoided the situation at all costs. One day after school I closed my locker to find him standing behind it and sneak attacked me right on the lips...it was awkward. We "dated" for 7 months and I spent 99% of it trying to avoid kissing him because he was terrible. I can distinctly remember telling him during a movie not to kiss me because my braces were hurting me. Oddly enough I ended up kissing him again when I was a junior in college and he must have had a lot of practice since freshman year of high school because he ended being one of the best kissers I experienced. I don't think I would take it back...just an interesting life experience

  4. HAHAHA! My husband HATES when I talk about any other boys I dated or kissed so this is a topic I can't bring up! But my first kiss wasn't until I was 18! I felt like such a loser in high school. Lucikly none of that stuff reall matters after.

  5. I was 13 and it was so silly looking back at it. I think the beauty of a first kiss is that you're so oblivious.

  9. i was 18, a freshman in college and surrounded by boys 'trying to fill their canteen.' after on & off dating for a few months I finally let my bf kiss me. It seems weird & gross now, that I kissed anyone besides my husband.

  10. I was 18 and it was a guy that had just come out to my hometown to go to dental school. I was flattered to have a good looking guy that was much older than me to show the kind of interest in me. Unfortunately in all the extra years he had on me he had not learned how to kiss well. I left for college the next day and never looked back.
I was mikes first kiss, so I got to teach him how it's done.
