proving one of my least favorite billboards wrong.

One of my least favorite billboards near Chicago boldly declares: "Obesity is a disease, not a choice." While I don't intend to divulge all my personal beliefs on this subject and fully acknowledge that for some the billboard may be true, a night at the Milwaukee State Fair would prove otherwise. People were definitely choosing to scarf down pounds and pounds of deep fried food conveniently placed on a stick. I tried to sneak pictures of people nibbling on deep fried pickles, turkey legs, pizza, zucchini, etc., but I chickened out each time I reached for my camera. I thought, "Let them indulge in peace." So I did.

Here are a just a few of the options available to fair goers. Milwaukee sure knows how to pack in the alcohol and the deceptively delicious fried food. I was only brave enough to try a corn dog and a deep fried Oreo.

    You are brave. Deep fried oreos...I don't think I can ever go there. Also, deep fried mac & cheese....on a stick? GROSS! Really all of it sounds gross and I want to know who keeps testing all the foods they can put on a stick let alone deep fry. Pizza on a stick, how does that even happen?
